Charmaine obtained her degree in physiotherapy from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. After graduation Charmaine worked in both private clinics locally and out-patient clinics in Singapore. The extensive experience gained in managing musculoskeletal problem and sports injury deepened her interest in pursuing postgraduate qualifications. Charmaine completed her Master degree in Sports Physiotherapy at Curtin University of Technology, Perth in 2007.

Charmaine has extensive sports physiotherapy experience and the athletes ranged from professional to amateur level. She uses combination of manual techniques, trigger point needling and exercise-based approach such as clinical Pilates into her practice, to ensure safe and early return of sports and enhance body recovery. Charmaine travelled as team physiotherapist with national team for various international games such as Davis Cup, Asian Championships and World Championships and local events including Trailwalker and Oxfam Walk. She is currently worked as team physiotherapist for Rugby section of Valley Football Club (Black Ladies).

Throughout the years Charmaine has built strong interest in shoulder and knee problem, spinal dysfunction, sports injuries, as well as muscle imbalance problem of the spine. A keen Thai boxers, she also enjoys swimming, playing basketball and photography during her leisure time. A native Cantonese speaker, Charmaine also speaks excellent English and Mandarin.
